Abstract:

With the expansion of information need and usage, the library plays more attention to the development of the information service work so as to introduce the idea of information commons to carry out the service innovation and to enhance the quality of service. Based on analyzing the characteristics and service model of information commons, the IC model of university library is designed, especially the implementation methods of the physical layer, virtual layer, operation guarantee layer, the plan and construction methods are discussed in detail. By learning from the experience of information commons construction of the university libraries at home and abroad and combing with the actual situation, the construction program of information commons is brought out and realized through making the west campus library of Linyi normal university as an example. The actual test shows that the university libraries of china can totally build the information commons suitable for the domestic actual situation, then, the service level of the university library can be increased.
