I. Introduction
With the rising of the technological revolution in the era of the knowledge economy, more and more modern enterprises adopt virtual research and development (R&D) team as their own forms of organization. The virtual research and development (R&D) team is a new R&D team which makes good use of modern information technology in order to complete the tasks and whose members are across the boundaries of space, time boundaries and organizational boundaries. However, as the virtual R&D team has a feature of cross-organizational, cross-time, cross-space, the issues of virtual team also occurs in virtual R&D team, such as communication issue[1], trust issue[2] [3] [4] and the issue of cultural differences[5], etc. And there is much distinction between virtual R&D team and traditional entities in affecting the team performance factors, in this article, we mainly analysis the key factors which will impact the performance of virtual R&D team.
