Experimental comparison of a novel, simple, neural network controller and linear model based controllers

This paper demonstrates a novel approach for process control that uses neural networks to model the steady-state inverse of an electrically heated feed preheater. It is compared to conventional proportional-integral internal model and model predictive controllers.
