Abstract:
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) of the California Institute of Technology is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) whose primary mission is the unmanned exploration of the Universe, under contract to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This article describes the range of underwater technologies and geophysical measurement systems that this organisation has developed.
