Abstract:

The tracking control problem of T-S fuzzy systems is solved in the paper. A new method is proposed to improve the existing result. All the designed conditions are expressed in the form of LMIs. Thus they are numerically realizable. From the simulation example, it can be seen that the proposed approach achieves a better tracking performance.

I. Introduction

Fuzzy sets and systems have gone through substantial development since the introduction of fuzzy set theory by Zadeh in 1965 [25]. There have been a great variety of successful applications in the area of image processing, industrial applications, medicine, finance, control engineering and so on in the literature [1], [3], [9], [14],[23]. The T-S fuzzy systems [19] are nonlinear systems described by a set of If-Then rules. The authors of Boyd [2], Gahinet [6], and Wu [21] have proved that the T-S fuzzy systems can approximate to any continuous functions in a compact set of R” at any preciseness. There are various relaxed stability conditions derived in [5], [8], [17], [20] by using Lyapunov analysis and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) techniques.
