I. Introduction
With The deregulation of the electricity markets, new billing strategies can be introduced, taking into account not only the energy consumption but the power quality levels and the responsibilities for disturbances affecting the power networks as well. In this contest, the harmonic distortion is one of the most important features because of the large number of nonlinear and/or time-variant loads that inject harmonics into the line currents. These harmonics also cause disturbances on the supply voltage, which are also conducted through the power system to the other loads, which can absorb a distorted current, even if they are linear and time invariant.
