Abstract:

A novel hybrid Fast Physical Optics (FPO) algorithm for the analysis of dual reflector antennas is presented. A two-level FPO algorithm for the subreflector to main reflector propagation is proposed and combined with the multilevel FPO that is used for the main reflector to far-field computation. The accuracy of the proposed method is studied by comparison with the direct physical optics evaluation of the near and far fields.

1. INTRODUCTION

In this work, the two- and multi-level Fast Physical Optics (FPO) algorithms recently proposed by the authors [1], [2] are combined to compute the radiation patterns of dual reflector antennas.
