Abstract:

In this paper, updated activity of mobile Web forum in Korea is introduced. Mobile Web activity is important technical areas as well as standard development. Also, standard activity in W3C is introduced. For the design and testbed experiment of MWBP, service architecture and service flows are described. And, reference architecture is suggested with the functional components of client, Web server, device management and validation tools. And basic flows are showed for the MWBP operations, many cases of service scenarios need to consider further.

1. Introduction

In Korea, Mobile Web 2.0 Forum opened on 1st quarter of 2007 year in Korea. The new local forum is composed of mobile operators, service portal, content provider and terminal manufacturers in Korea. The forum is currently four working groups and one TF(Task Force) working group. Many members from industry companies are joining on this forum including mobile operators, terminal manufactures, content providers and solution providers in Korea. The objective of forum is to develop standards specifications as well as to facilitate the mobile web markets in Korea. During the periods after launching Forum, WG meetings and workshops are opened for the standard development.
