Abstract:

Object-oriented simulation languages provide simulationists with the tools to produce modular, reusable simulation models. In this tutorial, the authors discuss the major features of object-oriented languages and their application in simulation. They also discuss some of the problems with and areas of special potential for object-oriented simulation.<>
