Abstract:

With the continual going deeply into reform and opening, the development of economy and the advance of people living standard, the amount of mobile vehicles increasing, it results in deterioration of the traffic. In order to reconcile urban transportation, this paper presents a design and realization of an advanced urban traffic surveillance and management system. It is an urban traffic surveillance command platform integrated by transportation information collecting, information processing, information synchronizing, information releasing, traffic controlling and managing. Aiming at the characteristic of domestic mingled transportation, the system provides the urban traffic surveillance command system of LCHA to the traffic management department. With this system, we can take good and efficient use of various traffic resources to construct the urban harmonic transportation

1. Introduction

With the continual going deeply into reform and opening, the development of economy and the advance of people living standard, the amount of mobile vehicles increases day by day. The construction of traffic road is developed continually, but the existing method of the management of transportation cannot meet the needs of current economic and urban developments. The traffic jam, accident and low efficiency of traffic result in waste of natural resources. This is a common problem in every city. Therefore, it is an economical and efficient strategy to create a scientific, automatic and intelligent transportation system (ITS). It will reconcile the conflicts on traffic. It is even more important to build up an advanced urban surveillance and management system for most of cities in our country with the constraint of the funds for the basic means of transportation. With the development of traffic smooth engineering and realization of the “Having vigilant power and battle effectiveness from science and technology”, an advance urban traffic surveillance and management system shows the more and more important.
