1 Introduction

Recently, control of complex nonlinear dynamic systems has become a topic of considerable research importance. In nonlinear control literature. several techniques have been developed to control nonlinear plants. Two main approaches have been extensively used: Lyapunov-based adaptive control and variable structure control. In both cases. feedback linearization is especially used.
