Abstract:
This work illustrates the application of two approaches used for the representation, reduction and solution of power systems under harmonic distortion. The representation is based on frequency dependent network equivalent (FDNE) and companion-circuit analysis (CCA). FDNE enables the formulation of a reduced-order model focused on a specific region of the power system, while the CCA obtains the solution by nodal incidence. This application shows an analysis in terms of efficiency and accuracy compared against to various numerical approaches and simulator.
