Abstract:
This paper presents the hardware design and characterization of a 1D MIMO radar based on commercially available MMICs at D-band for imaging applications. The system operates in the 114 GHz to 134 GHz frequency band, which provides a 7.5-millimeter range resolution. The system has an aperture of 1-meter length, implemented as a sparse array consisting of 8 transmitters and 7 receivers, which provides an angular resolution of 0.2°.
