Abstract:

The continuous monitoring of the technical condition of bridge structures and construction buildings is essential. Numerous methods, solutions, and developments exist for this purpose, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages, reflecting the originality of the approaches proposed by various authors. Among the advantages are low power consumption, extensive coverage and range, and long service life. However, challenges such as complex programming, device compatibility issues, and intricate data network architectures also exist. This article discusses the functionalities of wireless remote monitoring systems for assessing the technical condition of bridge structures and construction buildings, focusing on the functional characteristics of their structural elements. The relevance of incorporating information and communication technologies is highlighted, and the selection of structural and functional elements is substantiated. A server for wireless data transmission has been chosen based on its advantages, as outlined in the article, to process and store the results. An algorithm detailing the operational steps and modes within each system block was developed based on the constructed structural and functional scheme. The objective of this study is to develop a structural and functional scheme for a remote monitoring system to assess the technical condition of construction facilities.

Introduction

A distributed autonomous wireless monitoring system for the technical condition (DA WMST TC) of bridge structures and construction buildings will prevent many accidents and reduce repair costs. There are many similar systems in the world that are responsible for certain functions for remote monitoring of the technical condition of construction sites. The main functions of such monitoring systems include: determining the distance between cracks, measuring temperature and humidity that affect the change of cracks, determining the angle of inclination of an object and its location, and others. But before developing a system, it is necessary to correctly and reasonably determine the structure and its elements, their functional features and select the necessary structural parts. To achieve the goal, the following tasks are set:

analysis of modern autonomous wireless monitoring systems;

definition of requirements for the developed structural and functional scheme;

justification of the choice of structural elements of the work of the DA WMST TC for bridge structures and construction buildings;

determination of the modes of operation of data transmission via a wireless system;

development of an algorithm for working on the structural and functional scheme of the working system of bridge structures and construction buildings.
