I. Introduction
Carbon dioxide is a natural component of the at-mosphere and a physiologically important gas due to its role in cellular metabolism [1]. It is used as an indicator of air quality, being one of the most prevalent and largely neglected toxic gases [2], [3]. Recent findings indicate that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus can be transmitted mainly in the form of aerosols, making a useful surrogate for as-sessing indoor air quality and the risk of viral infection [2].
