Abstract:

The article is devoted to the analysis of the phenomenon of artificial intelligence and neural networks in the framework of foreign language education. The authors analyze the possibilities of these digital resources in foreign languages teaching. The article discusses current issues of the development and implementation of neural networks, describes their technical and technological characteristics for the educational content development. It has been identified and presented both the teaching and evaluating potential of neural networks in the practice of foreign languages teaching. It is presented the algorithm of software implementation in the form of an application. The authors analyze the existing tools of neural networks, the range of their capabilities in organizing feedback to students and the additional conditions that arise in this regard for mastering a foreign language. The article provides an algorithm for developing educational content based on neural networks for the development of all types of foreign language speech activity. They are given some methodological recommendations that describe the advantages and limits of using neural networks in the practice of foreign language education.

I. Introduction

Modern society cannot be imagined outside the development and improvement of digital, communication and Internet technologies. Digitalization makes it possible to improve the quality of life, enhance work efficiency and develop new innovative solutions through modern technologies in various spheres of life, including economy, education, healthcare and public administration. The post-Covidian era is characterized by the widespread use of a blended learning model, which is based on a combination of traditional education formats and digital information technologies [1]. This fact facilitates access to a wealth of information and services that were previously unavailable. As a result, people are able to get the information they need quickly and conveniently. Including in education, digitalization allows learners to access a wider range of knowledge and learning materials. Online courses and e-textbooks allow students to learn material anywhere, anytime, and receive feedback from teachers and other students. All of the above contributes to students' better understanding of the material they are studying and increases their knowledge and motivation.
