Abstract:

The purpose of this work is to discuss the problem of the low heat dissipation efficiency of the control equipment in rail transit trains. The research aim was to develop a power module for the train control apparatus that makes use of aluminum fin heat sinks. The design of the heat sink was altered to increase the efficiency of heat dissipation by creating a thermal simulation model, and the success of the modification was confirmed. The study provided fresh concepts and techniques for heat sink optimization by analyzing the effects of several parameter indicators in the design of aluminum fin heat sinks on heat dissipation efficiency.

I. Introduction

The dependability and stability of rail transit train control equipment are significant factors in the safety and effectiveness of railway transportation. It is a critical part of railway signaling systems. However, the power modules of train control equipment generate and accumulate heat continuously during extended periods of operation. If the heat is not removed efficiently and promptly, the equipment might be damaged or malfunction, creating safety risks and costing the railway transportation industry money. One of the major technological concerns is how to properly manage the heat dissipation problem of power modules in train control equipment, which has to be resolved in the field of rail transit.
