I. Introduction
People who are visually impaired confront several challenges in their everyday lives since modern assistive gadgets frequently fail to satisfy the needs of customers in terms of cost and amount of help. Our project "Face Recognition for the Visually Impaired" assists the people who are visually impaired or have limited vision in recognizing the office tools around them. Which they see through a small camera, the camera is fixed over the glasses. This approach aids in the creation of employment opportunities for blind individuals, particularly in office professions, by delivering a voice message to an earphone that is placed in the blind person’s ear to make it simpler for them to identify various items, as well as saving time and effort when done alone. The datasets of diverse people are collected from various scenes and used to apply the requisite recognition. Our main aim and the objective of this work is to design a intelligent system , imitating the human eye, system which sends different scenes and images to the brain .The brain then evaluates the scenes or images, and using previously stored data, the things in the scene are identified. The most essential benefit of our project is that it assists visually impaired persons in identifying particular people. We used a gadget called the "Raspberry Pi" for this work; it is a little device that uses the camera to analyze images and scenes in a way similar to that of the human brain. A built-in sensor in this device generates ultrasonic waves in the user’s direction of travel while scanning a maximum of5–6 meters over a 30° angle. This new method might be able to address the issues faced by the infected personalities today. The sounds that are connected with each person in the database are finally called and used to inform the blind about the person in front of them. The suggested approach for the blind seeks to increase opportunities for those who have lost their vision to realize their full potential. Designing and implementing real-time object detection system employing smart blind glass is the project main goal.
