Abstract:

In this paper, the relationship between different factors, such as the size and arrangement of heliostats, and the optical efficiency and output power is modeled to optimize the distribution of heliostats. The modeling procedure is used to calculate the annual average optical efficiency and thermal power output of the heliostat field, as well as the size of the annual average thermal power output per unit mirror surface area. Finally, the model is set up and the particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied to find the optimal arrangement of the heliostat mirrors and improve the output power. And the advantages and disadvantages of the model and suggestions for improvement are given.
