I. Introduction
Technological advances in remote sensing satellites now allow for the simultaneous acquisition of different datasets that provide various characteristics, mainly in terms of spatial resolution, spectral resolution, and imaging mode of the images [1], [2]. The combination of these advantageous attributes allows for the intelligent fusion and classification in practical applications, such as deforestation [3], urban planning [4], [5], precision agriculture [6], land-cover classification [7], [8], and mineral exploration [9], [10].
