I. Introduction
Rapid urbanization, new innovations in smart grid, man-machine, and machine-machine interface through machine learning protocols, interconnected and super-fast mobility, advanced healthcare system, online banking, and financial system, to name a few- Smart city is synonymous with interconnected rapid growth in which internet access is the life of the system and data is the new oil. Real-time system offers online data processing, but such a large quantity of data needs to be stored and processed through cloud storage. To improve the system's speed, cloud computing and artificial intelligence develop super-fast and accurate algorithms. Fig. 1. represents the key components of smart city incorporating various processes and devices. All the internet-based integration has also imposed a threat on the security of the whole system and hence security challenges and privacy landscape in a smart city set-up offer new insights and recommendations for addressing current and future challenges.
