Abstract:
This study presents an improved super-twisting sliding mode (SSMC) control method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in a low-speed region. Considering the harmonics taken by dead-time of converters, a resonant-based extended state observer (RESO) based sliding mode control method is proposed to design the current regulator. Due to the salient features of RESO, the disturbances and harmonics are estimated. Then, the harmonics in current are suppressed and ripples in speed are eliminated simultaneously. The advantages of proposed method are that no extra harmonic extraction operations are required and the entire computational complexity is reduced. Finally, numerous simulation results are given to demonstrate the harmonic suppression performance of proposed approach.
