I. Introduction
As An image enhancement technique, image fusion plays a vital role in many fields, such as medical science, remote sensing, security monitoring, and autonomous driving. Due to the hardware limitations of imaging sensors, the image captured by a single sensor cannot effectively and comprehensively describe all information in observed scenes. For example, visible images contain abundant appearance information in scenes, while infrared images from the same scene reflect the heat radiation of objects [1]. Therefore, image fusion is proposed to obtain a fused image containing complete information about scenes by integrating the images from different sources [2], [3].
