Reliability Design and Verification of Radio Frequency Coaxial Cable Assembly for Spacecraft

There are many factors affecting the RF flexible cable and its components in the process of spacecraft assembly, and the correctness and reliability of their operation directly affect the performance of the relevant subsystems on the satellite and the whole satellite cable network. In this paper, by analyzing the bending radius, lashing fixing point, and solid sealing status of the flexible RF coaxial cable assembly reliability, this paper designs different assembly schemes, judges the influence of RF cable bending radius, coiling turns, solid sealing glue and other assembly factors on cable performance through the verification of the thermal and mechanical environment experienced by the spacecraft in orbit, and obtains the qualitative and quantitative indicators of the process parameters, which provides theoretical support for the improvement of RF cable assembly process methods and quality control. Further improve the reliability and safety of RF cable assembly.

The laying, sorting and fixing of RF (short for Radio Frequency) cables and the connection of electrical connectors are the important work in the assembly process of spacecraft, and the correctness and reliability of their operation directly affect the performance of the relevant subsystems on the satellite and the cable network of the whole satellite.
