Abstract:

An integrated environment for monitoring and management of educational institutions has been developed on the Home Assistant platform. The system allows surveillance, monitoring and process management of the indoor and outdoor environment, the consumption (and production) of electrical energy, the presence of people etc. The paper presents the capabilities of the system for managing environmental parameters and the effective interaction through integration with a voice assistant in native language. Universal control panel and presence sensor have been developed and presented for integration with the process management system.

I. Introduction

Cyber-physical systems make the foundation for the realization of the concept of Industry 4.0, aiming the connection and communication between the physical and virtual components of the process management systems. These systems interact through sensors and actuators with the physical world, computing and networking elements allow them to function in the cyber space. Thus, physical processes in various sectors, e.g. education, healthcare, energy, transport, etc. can be fully automated, but also managed in an intelligent way, which leads to the emergence of many intelligent (smart) applications - smart schools, homes, offices, factories, cities [1], [2].
