Abstract:

Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm for solving the problem of linking theoretical data extracted from the model with new information obtained by measuring some observable parameters is present. Numerical implementation of the method showed similar results to the known classic model example of inversion of gravitational field data.

I. Introduction

Most problems in geophysics are known as nonlinear inverse problems so as the problems of planetary geophysics. Obtained from observational data about the planets are indirect (gravitational, magnetic, seismic) and based on the existing data set that we want to predict, for example, density, elastic moduli, temperature, viscosity, dissipative function.
