Abstract:

The quest for improved efficiency and reduced manual errors in business processes has led organizations to explore the transformative potential of Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This paper delves into the critical decision-making process of identifying which processes are suitable for automation, ensuring optimal efficiency, and minimizing manual errors. This paper presents a comprehensive methodology for evaluating and selecting the most suitable process for implementing RPA in the ticketing process in the Global Distribution System (GDS). It emphasizes the importance of conducting a thorough process assessment to identify repetitive, rule-based tasks that would benefit most from automation. Through the analysis of case studies and practical insights, the research highlights the diverse range of business processes that can be streamlined using RPA, spanning across finance, operations, customer service, and more. There are some key factors that contribute to the success of RPA implementations, including process complexity, potential ROI, and scalability. By strategically choosing processes that align with organizational objectives and deliver significant efficiency gains, organizations can maximize the value of their RPA initiatives. In conclusion, this paper serves as a valuable guide for organizations seeking to embark on their RPA journey and unlock the full potential of automation. By implementing RPA in processes that align with business goals and are prone to manual errors, organizations can drive remarkable efficiency improvements, reduce human intervention, and elevate overall productivity in the digital era.

I. Introduction

In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, various technologies and tools have emerged to automate repetitive and status-driven processes traditionally carried out by humans. Despite these advancements, the inevitability of human error remains a critical concern. Factors such as physical fatigue, lack of focus, external disturbances, and skill-related issues, including miscalculations and operational errors, continue to pose challenges to seamless operations.
