The UK government has established a highly ambitious objective of reducing emissions by 78% from the 1990 level by the year 2035 [1]. Furthermore, an even more formidable goal is to attain net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 [2]. These targets necessitate substantial endeavors towards the decarbonization of electricity generation, heating, and transportation [3]. Of particular significance is the heating sector, which currently contributes to nearly half of the UK's overall energy consumption, with residential space heating and hot water demands accounting for 57% of the heat consumed [4], [5].
