Abstract:

In this paper, a triple-band stacked ring dielectric resonator antenna is constructed and examined. The recommended antenna is fed in the middle by a modified E-shaped slot and has two dielectric layers: the upper ring dielectric layer is prepared by Al2O3 ceramic with permittivity of 9.8, and the lower ring dielectric layer is prepared by Teflon with dielectric loss tangent of 0.001 and permittivity of 2.1 to achieve a tri-frequency band of 1.8 GHz, 3.8 GHz, and 5 GHz. The antenna's 70×70 mm size makes it appropriate for WLAN and WiMAX applications. A simulated bandwidth range of 1.8 GHz (1.73-1.89 GHz), 3.8 GHz (3.64-3.96 GHz), and 5 GHz (4.79-5.16 GHz) is provided by the stacked ring dielectric resonator antenna, correspondingly. The software, called ANSYS HFSS does the simulation. Thus, the antenna design in this research paper will be helpful for the wireless application.

I. Introduction

With the rapid improvement in technology, human life is witness to the huge changes that have been a part of their lives for the past 20 years. Everyone now depends on electronic devices to the point where they can't envision life without them. We frequently utilize technological devices like Wi-Fi, speakers, portable phones, tablets, Bluetooth equipment, etc. All of these different electrical devices can only be utilized for wireless communication, and an antenna is a need for wireless communication; otherwise, no communication would be possible. It needs to be properly built to include all necessary communication dimensions. Antennas come in a huge variety of forms, including horn, dielectric resonator, and microstrip.
