I. Introduction
To cope with the demand for higher reliability and security of system, timely fault detection (FD) is very necessary [1]. In addition, it is often expected that the system meets performance requirements within a limited time in practical applications [2]. Therefore, the problem of finite-time FD has become a research hotspot and many achievements have been proposed. For instance, the finite-time FD scheme has been developed in [3] for networked system with multiple packet dropouts, where sufficient conditions for the presence of designed FD filter are derived by means of Lyapunov stability theory. Moreover, the finite-time FD filter design issue has been addressed in [4] for nonlinear system with probabilistic interval delays and randomly occurring faults (ROFs), where a Markov chain is used to describe the randomness of fault occurrence. However, to the best of authors'knowledge, the finite-time FD issue regarding ROFs has not been fully discussed.
