Abstract:

Through the analysis between the working principle of lithium-ion batteries and lead-acid batteries, and based on the research status of lithium-ion batteries at home and abroad, the safety performance of lithium-ion batteries for the submarine is analyzed. The problems faced by conventional submarines equipped with lithium-ion batteries in our country were sorted out. Basic requirements and feasibility analysis were made for applicability, safety and environmental protection, which provides a reference for solving the problem of lithium-ion batteries equipped on conventional submarines.

I. Introduction

The primary underwater power source for conventional submarines is the power battery, whose performance is directly related to the concealment and maneuverability of the submarine [1]. With the advantages of high energy density and long cycle life, lithium-ion batteries have become the market’s most commonly used battery system today. Following the rapid expansion of EVs, the military-strategic importance of lithium-ion batteries will be increasingly significant [2]. Based on this, if it can be improved and optimized for submarine equipment, the vitality and combat capability of submarines can be significantly improved.
