Messenger Read Later Feature with Reminder Function

WhatsApp is a social media platform used for instant messaging and has over 2 billion users worldwide. It has audio and video calling, image sharing, notifications, etc. Notifications are very important, but their utility is significantly reduced when delivered at the wrong time. A person, in general, uses WhatsApp for an average of 38 mins per day. On an average a person is a member of at least 6 groups of more than 30 members. Many of these groups are important (Ex: Office group, Meeting group, Presentation group, etc.) and valuable messages are shared on these groups every day. Users find it difficult to segregate the crucial messages from the lesser important ones. The “Starred Messages” feature in WhatsApp is not designed in such a way that it can segregate the messages into various categories. Our idea of devising a “WhatsApp Read later Feature” is to make the segregation of messages quick, easy and comfortable so the users find and organize them quickly, increasing their productivity. The feature also comprises an inbuilt reminder function that gives users a reminder for the particular selected message, a wholly new and unique feature.
