Biography
Yen-Cheng Kuan received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, CA, USA. From 2004 to 2007, he was a System Engineer at Realtek Semiconductor Corp., Irvine, CA, where he contributed to the design of ultrawideband system-on-a-chip. From 2009 to 2016, he served as a Research Scientist in HRL Laboratories (formerly Hughes Research Laboratory), Malibu, CA, where he worked on software-defined radios, compressed-sensing receivers, multirate signal processing for high-speed ADCs, as well as image processors.
