Biography
Michael Halle (mhalle@bwh.harvard.edu) is instructor of radiology at Harvard Medical School and Director of Technology Development at the Surgical Planning Lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from MIT in 1988. During his graduate studies at the MIT Media Lab, he developed computer graphics and image processing techniques that enabled some of the most advanced holographic displays of the time. He received his Master's degree from MIT in 1991 and his Ph.D. in 1997. His research interests include 3-D display, software architecture, and medical visualization.
