Gong-Cheng Lin was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1971. He received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Chung Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1996, and the M.S. degree in electro-optical engineering from Tatung University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2001.,He is currently an Associate Researcher with Telecommunication Laboratories Advanced Technology, Chunghwa Telecom Company, Ltd., Taoyuan, Taiwan. His research focuses on semiconductor devices packaging and wavelength-division multiplexed passive optical network systems.(Based on document published on 18 December 2014).
