Biography
Yilmaz Sozer (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 1993, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electric power engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA, in 1995 and 2000, respectively.,He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of Akron, Akron, OH, USA, engaged in teaching and research. Before joining The University of Akron, he was with Advanced Energy Conversion, Schenectady, NY, USA.
