Biography

David W. Lin (Life Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1975, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1979 and 1981, respectively.,He was with Bell Laboratories from 1981 to 1983 and with Bellcore from 1984 to 1990 and from 1993 to 1994. Since 1990, he has been a Professor (currently Emeritus) with the Department of Electronics Engineering (currently Department of Electrical Engineering) and Institute of Electronics, National Chiao Tung University (currently National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University), except for a leave from 1993 to 1994.
