Biography
Stuart L. Jackson (M’07) received the S.B. degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2000, with a focus on space propulsion. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in aeronautics and astronautics from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 2003 and 2006, respectively, with a focus on plasma physics and sheared-flow stabilization.,He is currently a Research Physicist with the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Washington, DC, USA. From 2006 to 2009, he was a National Research Council Post-Doctoral Research Associate with NRL, where he was involved in gas puff Z-pinch research, as well as radiographic diode studies.
