Biography
Jeff Fessler (fessler@umich.edu) received his B.S.E.E. degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, in 1985 and his Ph.D. degree from Stanford University, California, in 1990. He is the William L. Root Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of Michigan, where he has worked since 1990. He received the 2013 IEEE Edward Hoffman Medical Imaging Scientist Award and serves as an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging. He was the technical program cochair of the 2002 IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging (ISBI) and the general chair of ISBI 2007. His research group focuses on imaging problems.
