Biography
Tim Salimans is a senior research scientist on the Google Brain team in Amsterdam. He works on generative modeling, semi-supervised and unsupervised deep learning, and reinforcement learning. He is most well known for work on GANs, showing how they can be used for semi-supervised learning and how they can be evaluated using the Inception score, and for his work on VAEs and other applications of variational inference using reparameterization.(Based on document published on 12 September 2022).
