Biography
Jun Li received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 1987, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in atmospheric science from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, in 1990 and 1996, respectively.,Since 1997, he has been with the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies, Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC), University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, where he was involved in advanced imager/sounder data processing and applications, especially on the synergistic use of high-spatial-resolution imager data and high-spectral- resolution infrared sounder data for deriving atmospheric temperature and moisture profiles, cloud and aerosol/dust properties, as well as surface properties...
