Biography
Valerie Scott earned a B.S. degree in both chemistry and biochemistry from Brandeis University (2005), followed by a Ph. D. in inorganic chemistry from the California Institute of Technology (2011). She was a NASA Postdoctoral Fellow at the California Institute of Technology's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) from 2011-2012, and then joined JPL as an engineer in JPL's Microdevices Laboratory. Since joining JPL full-time, she completed a M.S. degree in engineering from Purdue University (2016–2018). Dr. Scott currently works as an engineer in technology development, is the Chevron Technical Fellow for JPL's Commercial Program Office, and also contributes to formulation work through several different channels, including JPL's A-Team.(Based on document published on 7 June 2021).
