Biography
Hoi-To Wai (htwai@cuhk.edu.hk) received his Ph.D. degree from Arizona State University (ASU) in electrical engineering in 2017. He is an assistant professor with the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China. His research interests include signal processing, machine learning, and distributed optimization, with a focus on their applications to network science. His dissertation received the 2017 Dean’s Dissertation Award from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU, and he was a recipient of a Best Student Paper Award at ICASSP 2018.
