Biography

Edward A. Jones (S’12) received the B.S.E.E. degree from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2007. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power electronics with The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.,He was with GE Energy, Atlanta, GA, USA, for five years, as a Field Engineer. He joined the Center for Ultra-Wide-Area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA, as a Graduate Research Assistant. His current research interests include wide bandgap device characterization and GaN-based converter design.(Based on document published on 27 May 2016).
