I. Introduction
The high frequency link AC-DC matrix converter (as shown in Fig. 1) is a new topology derived from the AC-DC matrix converter, which has advantages such as bidirectional power flow, unity input power factor, and high power density [1] - [2]. Because of the special topology structure, the high-frequency transformer excitation is extremely complex, which makes it more difficult to design the transformer through simple theoretical calculations and using the finite element simulation [3] - [4]. Hence, the global optimization of the transformer is very difficult to achieve. It is necessary to develop new design methods.
