Abstract:
The use of communication protocols and the choice of variables to be monitored allows the entire system to be in a safer environment, in which an operator has alarms, indicators and a representation of the entire system in real time, avoiding unnecessary exposure in the field, whether in the industrial field or in electrical power systems. In this context, this work intends to contribute to practical teaching in engineering, meeting the new curricular guidelines, with the development of a monitoring system for two didactic substations via Modbus protocol communicating with CLP's. The general supervisory intends to simulate a remote Operations Center, which is composed of two local SCADA supervisory systems that act as a gateway to the general system. These local systems are also responsible for acquiring the state of the breakers of the two didactic plants, through the inputs and outputs of the CLP's and distributing this information to the Operations Center remotely. For the general monitoring system, DNP Master drivers were used to acquire local information, as well as creating screens for monitoring and also integration to a SQL database so that events can be stored and analyzed by an operator present at the Monitoring Center Operations.
