Small class (250 mm) disk EMG testing results

The results of a five-module disk EMG (with a small amount of HE in each module) testing for a dummy load are described. The paper substantiates the use of a small class disk EMG as the energy source for a test bench intended for experiments on liners acceleration at the currents of /spl sim/15...20 MA with a rise time of 6-8 /spl mu/s.

Conclusion

The obtained experimental results tell about good prospects of designing a multi-element explosive magnetic system on the basis of a small class -cm disk EMG. This system provides a possibility to study the acceleration of the liners at the currents of 15 … 20 MA.
