I. Introduction
Moving magnet generators are compact pulsed power systems that are one of a type of explosive-driven pulsed power devices for production of initial energy. The generation of high current and high voltage pulses is the result of the motion of the ferromagnetic projectile inside of pulse generating coils. In our early publication devoted to studies of kinetic energy conversion with a light gas gun it a high efficiency of open ferromagnetic circuit moving magnet generation was shown [1]. Detailed studies of the current mode of moving magnet generation with the use of a gas gun is presented in [2]. In this work the experiments were performed with explosive driven moving magnet generators (EDMMG) of different designs using high explosives (HE) and propellent charge.
