Detection of Protein Coding Regions Using Fast Short Time Ramanujan Periodicity Transform

In this work a fast algorithm for the detection of protein coding regions in DNA sequences has been developed by modifying the Ramanujan Periodicity Transform. The performance of the algorithm has been evaluated on standard data sets. Significant reduction in computation time has been achieved, along with improvisation in the performance parameters for short exonic regions.
