Control of Vehicle Beyond the Stability Limits

A trajectory tracking controller of a drifting vehicle is developed in this paper. To accurately achieve path tracking, a control law is derived from expert driver. The synthetic vehicle course angle and yaw rate is derived. A front tire simplifying assumption and wheel-speed control at rear tires is adopted in the controller. Simulation demonstrates good tracking of a trajectory with varying curvature.
